Terms of Service
Last updated September 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of Airfield Passport (“the service”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Not for navigation
Airfield Passport is a record of where you've flown and a way to discover places to visit. It is not a flight planning or navigation tool. Airfield details, runways, frequencies, chart links, maps and nearby places come from public sources (the FAA, OurAirports, OpenStreetMap) and from other pilots, and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Always check current official sources (sectional charts, the Chart Supplement, NOTAMs and a weather briefing) before you fly. As pilot in command, you are responsible for the safety of your flight. We are not affiliated with the FAA.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live (or have a parent or guardian agree for you).
- Give a real email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account.
Your content
Your logbook, notes and photos are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run the service for you.
When you share something with other pilots (a photo on an airfield's page, a place rating, a courtesy car or closed-place report), you also give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to show it on the service. For photos, that lasts until you unshare or delete them. You can make your passport page public or private at any time.
Only upload what you have the right to share. Don't post anything illegal, infringing, hateful or sexually explicit, other people's personal information, or spam. We review shared photos before they appear, and may remove any content, or suspend an account, that breaks these rules.
Acceptable use
Don't try to break or get around the service's security, overload it, collect its data in bulk with automated tools, access other people's accounts, or resell the service.
Pro subscriptions
- Pro is a subscription, billed in advance each month or year through our payment processor, Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel any time from your Profile (Manage subscription). Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and isn't renewed after that.
- Payments aren't refunded for partial periods, except where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, Pro is off until it goes through. Your photos are kept, read-only, when Pro ends.
- We may change the price. A new price applies from your next renewal after we tell you about it, and you can cancel before then.
- Prices may not include taxes, which are added where they apply.
Changes to the service
We're always improving Airfield Passport, and may add, change or remove features, including which features are part of Pro. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give you notice and a chance to export your logbook and download your photos.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile; that removes your logbook, photos, notes and settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; if we close yours without cause, we'll refund the unused part of your subscription.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it's accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information in the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it and US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
